The main reason for data backup is to save important files in case the system crashes. As much as possible, you should have additional data backups if the original backups result in data corruption. This article will show you how to back up your data in PinnacleCart.

How to Back Up Your Site
- Log in to your dashboard then go to Settings > Advanced Settings >> Backup/Restore.
- When Backups are available, they will be listed here. You can simply modify your desired settings & click Create Backup.
Note: Always do the Database separately. Doing this with other files will cause a timeout when trying to restore due to the size of files being restored.
Typically you will want to select Core Application Files and Theme Files for the first one, after that you will do another back up for Images, Cache Files, Digital Product Files, then you can back up the Database. Doing these backups individually ensures the information is being backed up correctly.
