By default, only the United States and Canada use states and provinces. PinnacleCart does allow the ability to add or remove states to not only the US and Canada but also to any other countries. So if you're looking to add Puerto Rico as a State to the US (instead of its own country), or APO/PPO, or remove states for shipping reasons, here's how.

How to Remove a Country/State

  1. Log in to your admin area. 
  2. Go to Settings >> International Settings >> Countries.
  3. Click the delete button located on the right side of the state that you want to remove.

Note:

You can also remove multiple countries. Check the boxes of those countries that you want to remove, scroll up, click "Bulk Actions" and then select Delete.

How to Add a Country/State

  1. Log in to your admin area. 
  2. Go to Settings >> International Settings >> Countries.
  3. Click Add Country.add country button
  4. Fill out the necessary information.
  5. Once completed, click Save.

  • Name - encode the name of the country that you want to add.  
  • ISO Number - industry-standard numbers are used to represent countries around the world.
  • ISO Alpha 2 - two-letter codes or acronyms that designate a specific country 
  • ISO Alpha 3 - three-letter codes or acronyms that designate a specific country


Note: These codes are used to send Real-Time Shipping carriers. You can look for the codes on Nationsonline.org.
