Refunding And Canceling Orders

Sometimes you may need to cancel an order if you need to give a refund, or if a customer changes their mind about an order before you've captured payment for it. You can give the customer a full or a partial refund for the whole order. Here's how to do them with Pinnacle Cart.

Cancel An Order

To cancel an order:

  1. From your admin Dashboard click Orders from the left hand side menu.

  2. Click the Order ID of the order you want to cancel.

  3. Click the Update Status button or tab.

  4. Select Cancelled from the drop down selection of Status.

  5. Choose whether to notify your customer about it or not.
  6. Click Update.

Full Refund An Order

Note: For the purpose of this article the payment method used here was PayPal Payflow Pro.

To refund an entire order:

  1. Click Orders from the left hand side menu.
  2. Click the Order ID of the order you want to do a full refund.
  3. Click the Payment button or tab.

  4. Enter amount to be refunded. (Full amount for full refund, partial amount for partial refund)

  5. Click Update.

Delete An Order

To delete an order:

  1. Click Orders from the left hand side menu.
  2. Put a check on the box of the order you want to delete.

  3. Click the Delete icon or link.
